Bridges of Hope is presented at the Clinton Global Initiative University annual meeting

March 9, 2015 – Bright Stars of Bethlehem’s newest outreach program, Bridges of Hope, was presented at the annual Clinton Global Initiative University meeting this month!

Bridges of Hope is a global initiative that aims to open lines of communication by encouraging intercultural understanding between Arab and American college students both at home and abroad.  This new program was submitted to CGIU and accepted as an official commitment to action to be presented at the annual CGIU meeting. Each year, CGIU hosts a meeting where students, university representatives, topic experts, and celebrities come together to discuss and develop innovative solutions to pressing global challenges. This year the meeting was at the University of Miami in Coral Gables, Florida from March 6-8, 2015. The meeting will brought together more than 1,100 students to make a difference in CGI U’s five focus areas: Education, Environment and Climate Change, Peace and Human Rights, Poverty Alleviation, and Public Health.

Hannah Trawick(left), Queen’s University in Charlotte, NC, and Gabriella Lanzi(right), University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, MI, represented Bridges of Hope this month at CGIU. Through their dedication and motivation Bridges of Hope is continuing to grow a network of motivated and passionate student leaders. Check back to hear more from Hannah and Gabriella about their experiences at CGIU! We encourage you to join the international network of student leaders who are bridging the gap between Americans and our Arab neighbors.  Bridges of Hope provides opportunities to build life-long relationships, study abroad, obtain internships abroad, be a Clinton Global Initiative representative, attend annual networking and motivational conferences and so much more!
