The exhibition, “Here the Bird’s journey Begins”, is a resonant yet elegant celebration of Palestinian visual and performing arts. It is an artful response to the silencing of Palestinian voices throughout the United States and showcases the generational fortitude within Palestine’s rich culture.

Meet your host

My name is Abbie Ha and I am a junior at New Trier Township High School. I am a part of the Integrated Global Studies School, giving me agency over my learning and the opportunity to pursue projects such as the exhibition, “Here the Birds Journey Begins.” Additionally, I am the founder and executive director of Vessel to the Voice, a non profit organization that gathers young, passionate artists, united through creative expression to champion human rights and inspire global change. Along with my passion for the arts and humanities, I enjoy playing volleyball and spending time with my friends and family.
